Account Supervisor

Job Description

The Account Supervisor is an energetic, creative thinker who has a passion for people and marketing. The Account Supervisor is responsible for managing client relationships, developing marketing strategies and plans to accomplish client objectives and steward projects through the advertising agency alongside the account service team. This person is responsible for setting the strategy for projects, developing the creative brief and ensuring the final deliverable reflects the original brief. This person is also responsible for managing the impact of the project to ensure the outcome accomplishes the project objectives through ongoing analysis and optimization. This person must be able to communicate effectively with various internal and external personalities with grace and empathy all while having a bias for forward progress. They also must be able to stay cool under pressure and be skilled at adding a little levity when things get hot.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for all communication.
  • Lead a team of account executives, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure the team meets or exceeds client expectations.
  • Define project strategy and develop project briefs and scopes of work to document the project assignment, objectives, strategies, and tactics.
  • Develop and execute advertising campaigns across various media channels, including digital, social, print, and broadcast
  • Develop project estimates that reflect scope of work.
  • Collaborate with creative, media, and strategy teams to ensure campaigns are on brand, on target, and delivered on time and within budget.
  • In collaboration with the Digital team, monitor campaign performance and provide regular reports and analysis to clients and internal teams.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and expand services to clients, ensuring revenue growth and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices to continuously improve agency offerings and client results.
  • Ability to work in and coach teammembers within various platforms to support the execution of work as needed including, email service providers, marketing automation platforms, website content management systems, customer relationship management systems, etc.
  • Working with the team to develop content themes and calendars for multi-channel communication.
  • Ability to provide clear, decisive feedback to the team.
  • Ability to assess the priority of projects and direct teammembers towards those priorities.
  • Management responsibilities with direct reports as well as informal leadership responsibilities within the agency.
  • Professional, clear, and friendly client communication. Constantly keeping the client aware of project status and ensuring accurate. documentation is provided throughout the process.
  • Ability to engage impactfully with clients in virtual or live meetings with strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to anticipate client needs and the needs of the team to ensure the team is prepared for each step in the project and the client feels cared for.

Qualifications

  • BA, BS, or MBA degree with an emphasis in Marketing Communications or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing & advertising.
  • Advertising agency experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of foodservice is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • A basic understanding of Web technology platforms.
  • Understanding of strategic marketing principles and experience executing holistic marketing plans.
  • Experience managing multiple projects.
  • Must be self-motivated and a lover of learning.
